Neat way to sit

Ailee saw me crossing my legs at church today and decided it was a neat way to sit. Whenever she sees me cross my legs, she will come sit next to me and cross her legs too.

Lunch with Daddy

Ailee and I pack a lunch for Devin everyday and pick him up from work and go to a near by park to have lunch. Ailee loves this park and we struggle to feed her before she runs away to play on the toys. It has started getting a little cold here, but Ailee still asks if we are going to have lunch with Daddy at the park every day.

Stretching with Daddy

We have a friend here who is a good runner and he invited Devin to start running with him. Devin was thinking he wanted to start, so they started running together in the mornings. The first day they ran was a Saturday afternoon and Ailee had just woken up from her nap when Devin came home. Devin was so tired and was breathing heavily and wasn't in the best shape. When he picked Ailee up, she got a worried look on her face and said "Daddy...wet! Daddy's face...RED! Daddy's eyes...PINK!" Ailee had no idea what had happened to her daddy...all she knew was that he looked beat up! (I wish I had taken a picture of him that day!)

These pictures were taken this morning when Devin got back from his run. He didn't look too bad today. Ailee likes to join her daddy and do some stretches.

Ailee's genius idea

One day Ailee had an idea! "Maybe if I closed my eyes really really tight, people will think I'm sleeping!" So, whenever convenient, she started "falling asleep". After she "falls asleep", she will put her face in your face to show you she has fallen asleep. If you don't realize she has fallen asleep, she will say "Mite ("Look" in Japanese) Mite!" and come closer and closer to you until you say something about it. In this picture, she is posing for me while she is "sleeping".

Bubble Bath

One of the presents Ailee got was bubble bath. She had the funnest bath time ever! She said "Ailee go sleep on soft bubble" and kept laying her face on it.

It was a struggle trying to get her out of the bath tub. We finally had to pull out crying Ailee and promised her she could do it again the next day. The next day when she woke up, the first words were "bubble bath time?"

Happy Birthday to Ailee!

Ailee turns 2!
Here are some pictures of her birthday party!

I made an Elmo cake for her this year and she thought it was pretty neat...although she would not eat the cake.

Opening presents.

Ailee checking out her new bike!

Ailee loved her new bike, and so did all the other kids! They all got a turn riding it!

Here are Ailee's friends that came to her party. There were 2 more babies that didn't make it on the couch.

When bed time came, Ailee was still enjoying her bike. Ailee found a way to take bunny bunny on a bike ride with her. We had to pull her off the bike to put her to bed. We are glad she likes her present.

Ward Christmas Party

We had our Ward Christmas party last night and we had Santa come at the end. Ailee hated Santa last year, but we thought she would be OK this year...boy were we wrong! Ailee held onto me so tight and started screaming! (Of course after she grabbed a candy cane from him!)

Here is another picture of Ailee and Santa. She would not get between Devin and Santa.

Here is Bishop with Brooklyn and Devin with Ailee. Devin works as the 2nd counselor in the Bishopric in our Ward.

Here is Ailee and Brooklyn. They are best friends and just love to be together!

Baking cookies

Ailee and I baked some cookies today. Ailee was such a big help. When I was getting the things ready, Ailee kept saying "I'm ready! I'm ready!" then said "Mommy, slow!" She also said a lot of "I can do it!" and "Ailee do it!" She is getting so independent!

We made smiling faces using Christmas chocolate chips for the eyes and mint chips for the mouth. I made the first two and showed Ailee how to do it. Ailee then got to make a smiling face on the 3rd cookie. She did a really good job!

The bottom 3 to the right were done by Ailee. She did the first one really good (far right), but it took so long to do the mouth, she decided not to do the mouth and do more eyes with the second one...then got hungry and ate all the eyes. (second from the right) She then started working on her 3rd one. This one got 9 eyes! Throughout the day, I had to tell Ailee "No more Cookies!" After I tell her that, I would hear her say "But...but...but...but...what's this?" and there would be a cookie in her hand.

Ailee's many faces

Here are Ailee's many faces. Her favorite face used to be the "suprised face", but now it's her "grumpy face" and her "sad face". Can you tell the difference?
